You’d think with the 12 team playoff, maybe this would slow down, but oh well

Not that I've seen.
Maybe they figured one of us was more than enough.

Not because they actually want to though. UC system is set on blocking the UCLA move
This is such a non-story because it's been looked at from all angles and legally the Regents can't do shite.
Now they're trying to set-up terms and conditions for FUTURE departures and financial penalties but the UCLA ship has sailed.
I've argued from the beginning, Stanford is a perfect fit for the Big10...problem is, like USC/UCLA, you'd had to bring in headache Cal.

So B1G adds Washington, Oregon, Stanford, and Cal (or Notre Dame in lieu of Cal if ND can be convinced). They are at 20 schools.
Then the Big 12 adds Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, and Colorado. They are at 16 schools.
Then when the ACC schools figure out how to dissolve their GoR or wait it out, the SEC adds Clemson, FSU, UNC/NC State, and VT/UVA.
I can see the B1G adding UVA and UNC, if they don't land in the SEC.
Then I can only assume the Big 12 plucks four more schools from the corpse of the ACC to give WVU, Cincy, and UCF some local partners: Pitt and Miami seem like obvious choices there. Louisville also makes sense. Not sure who makes it beyond that. Obviously, if NC State or VT are on the table, they get an invite.

I'm surprised nobody has spoken about divvying up Conferences by Sport yet.
Football Conferences. Example: SEC MBB/WBB/Baseball possibly different members than SEC FB
Basketball Conferences.
Hockey Conferences.
Baseball Conferences.
etc...
Run affiliations for 10 years and everybody is an Independent every 10 years.
Networks would shite at first but I wonder if it could be worked out.

Oregon St and WSU are left homeless.
Nice additions for the Mountain West.
