Stanford vs Rutgers...a classic Big 10 rivalry

I would rather go after, Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina and Virginia! Don’t mind Oregon, though.

I believe they already pursued all the ACC schools but they are locked in to their conference deal for another like decade and so they are stuck
Florida state AD was openly kind of lamenting about that earlier this year. Or at least hinting that it was discussed and nixxed bc of that

I don't understand why all these articles keep saying schools schools like Oregon State and Washington State would then have to join the MWC.
Wouldn't the Pac 12 would still be more valuable than the MWC brand making the more likely scenario that the Pac would gut the MWC of it's most desirable schools? I would think schools San Diego State, Boise, UNLV, Utah State, Colorado State, and maybe even Hawaii as a football only would get taken.

Is this actually new updates or the same rumors from the summer? The cancerous site is demanding I turn off my adblocker to see the article so I haven’t read yet. TIA.
Pac brand is more valuable but this assumes that there are enough teams left to keep the conference alive.
You have to have at least 7 football playing members to be a conference. And theoretically enough teams leaving could just dissolve the conference completely in lieu of exit fees / rights issues.

SEC will end up adding:
Miami
Florida State
Clemson
North Carolina
North Carolina State
Virginia
West Virginia/Virginia Tech considered.
"Would if they could" Category: Trade Missouri for West Virginia

The final result of all this there will be like 3-4 "mega" conferences that have all the schools willing to throw big money behind their athletics programs.
D1-A (or FBS) at like ~130 is way too big. There's maybe 40-50 schools at most willing to go all-in to compete in big time athletics and is absurd to try to include the other ~80 in the same structure.

You know they've played each other 96 times and are border states, right?
