This game can also be called the Kevin Kern Bowl. Current head coach at Abbeville was also the Interim Head Coach at VC at one time

This game shows how far Abbeville High has fallen. Even the worst AHS teams should be able to out athlete VC and win a game. Now, 75% of the athletes either don't play, flunk off, or spend more time on the front than in school.
I was just told last weekend that there is a team that plays in some kind of other league, which is made up of home school, and other vermilion parish kids who don't play football. The majority of the team is made up of AHS kids who flunked off/got kicked off for not showing to practice.

AHS was in the semis against John Curtis in 4A in the early 2000s. Was in the 4A semis in baseball around the same time. Was in the top 28 in basketball not too long ago. Football has been shite since Indest left, and baseball didn't even have a varsity team for a few years before last year. Really sad.
Can't think of the name of the school, but it's some church school, has a few absolute stud basketball players that should be at Abbeville High. I think that school was created to play basketball.
