Nah. I'm all for anything that gets these people wrapped up like this.

you think?
At least you own it. Message boards are about having fun. I really dont have any ill will for you all since you left. Both programs needed to move on and had the cache to do so for the betterment of both.
Mizzou Nebraska was a good old school and longstanding Big 8 game. Its a shame that got lost in all this realignment.
frick Texas. Just frick them to hell.

One Mizzou poster has the handful of B1G posters wrapped up on an SEC message board for the last 4 pages.
Think about this for a moment man.

I miss the old Big 8 rivalries. I miss playing Oklahoma. I miss the Colorado game, and the Mizou game. Even K-State was good.

Me too buddy.
Maybe down the road a Mizzou/Nebraska neutral site game can be revived in KC at Arrowhead. That would be a ton of fun for both of our fan bases.

Utah beat Mich. Get back to us when Mich wins an OOC big 5 game.
Nebraska joined the B10 so they could recruit Chicago and Chicago suburbs and the other high end Illinois basketball players, from Quincy and the Rock Island/Moline region. They got tired of being an NIT team.
The question is whether Nebraska can recruit Texas. They have one 2016 commit from Tex. He is a TWO STAR. You are doomed to mediocrity.
Mich has 9 4 star commits for 2016. Nebraska has 3 and they are all 5.8's on rivals, the lowest 4's. nothing to write home about. Mediocre.
You are medium sized frog in a small pond.

We are already playing Oklahoma and I think Colorado again in a few years so Id expect there to be Mizzou rematch as well.

Ten pages of trolling. You're keeping it going. Good on you.

Im gonna give Mike Riley a try for a few years. If he ends up being Callahan part 2 I wold say that they need to go all in for a big name HC or else the program will be dead and will become a relic which I will admit it is close to becoming one but it isn't quite there yet.

Lincoln really is a pretty cool city. Its not too big like Omaha is and it isn't too small either. Really the best of both worlds here.
No. No, it's not. It's a good place to raise kids (if you don't mind snow on the ground at Easter). It's not "a pretty cool city."
B1G looks extra legit.

We had temps over 90 in mid March this year.

Hard to tell from one game, IMO.
I just posted this in the ACC sux thread, but suitable for re-post here, IMO:
Wins vs P5 opponents by conference (thru Sat 9/5)
SEC: 4 of 14 (Ala>Wiscy-N, SCar>NCar, Aub>Lou-NbutH, Aggie>AZ-NbutH)
Pac-12: 2 of 12 (Utah>Mich-H, UCLA>UVA-H)
BigXII: 1 of 10 (TCU>Minny-A)
B1G: 1 of 14 (NW>Stan-H)
ACC: 0 of 14
IND: ND and BYU Ws v P5
NbutH = Neutral site that has SIGNIFICANTLY less distance for one team over the other

PAC had three losses to non P5 teams

Strange... I'm trying to post about P5 conference losses to FCS teams and I keep getting a stop sign.

Really? Texas isn't much closer to Alabama than Wisconsin?

It is... by over 340 miles... but considering Birmingham IS 630+ miles away - It's not a SIGNIFICANT advantage (Like Auburn playing 90 miles from its doorstep or Aggie playing under 100 miles away in its 2nd largest alumni market, etc...).

Riley seems like a great guy, but the fit at Nebraska just seems a bit perplexing. He seemed at home at OSU because it was a place you can make a living off of 5-7 and 6-6 type seasons as long as you post a 9-4 year or beat someone you shouldn't every great now and then. Plus, Corvallis is hardly a fishbowl, and the pressure was nonexistent.
Nebraska is the antithesis of that, and they just fired Pelini for (among other things) being stuck in that 9-4 range.
