Looks official. Second TJ for both. Beachy wants another opinion before having his.

I wonder if we can still make a play for David Price now? Surely Meds won't be back to start for the Braves and I don't think Beachy will be either.

I'm thinking the same but who will we have to give up to get him?
Didn't Wren say he's done making roster moves?

How realistic is it for these two to be done for good? (As in career over) gotta be a tough road back from a second tj

Nah. I was considered a smudge about Beachy but they won't quit, not with these type paychecks coming in the door. It's still worth it for them.

On a positive note...Wood looked really sharp Monday with a CG shutout (only 5 IP).

so I keep hitting up the braves website trying to find some spring training highlights and they just don't seem to exist; save for random BS interviews and a few at bats from games a week old. Is this pretty normal? I just want to see some damn baseball

last time Medlen had tommy john, a ligament from his left hamstring was used to replace his ucl ligament
this time, dr. Andrews used one from his right wrist.
anyone know why such ligaments are used?

I think it's similar structure/elasticity

couldn't they use one from his left wrist

Eventually he will have no more ligaments

Just got off the phone with my uncle, who works in the Braves FO, he said to make sure my home owners insurance policy is up to date because a monster storm is brewing...take it fwiw

Because they most closely resemble the original UCL and Andrews doesn't want to use cadaveric tissue.

Looking great today. Heyward's been on fire and even BJ Upton getting an RBI early on
