Chris Johnson – Very interesting to see that Fredi Gonzalez plans to bat Johnson in the cleanup spot. In order for this to work, Johnson has to stick with the “hit the ball to all fields” approach that helped him rank second in the NL with a .321 batting average last year. He batted .336 with runners in scoring position and .396 with runners in scoring position and two outs. Given the .394 BABIP he produced last year, we’ll likely see some regression with the batting average. But he’s certainly capable of flirting with the .300 mark again.

BABIP 'em all night long....

Damn I missed that on scanning the lineup this morning.

Weird to bat Justin 5 though...

Really hoping Johnson doesn't change his approach since he's hitting clean up. I can't imagine he would have much success as a power hitter but he puts the ball in play like no one else.

Heyward does not seem like your prototypical lead off guy. He dropped some absolute bombs in spring training so we'll see if that translates to the regular season.

I'll get blasted but Heyward should be nowhere near the leadoff spot, yeah he is a good hitter and he gets on base...so does Miguel Cabrera

This team was pretty much unbeatable by anyone with JHey leading off last year.

If BJ would get his shite together then they could swap, but who really things BJ is going to get his shite together? At least Heyward can produce there, unlike everyone else.

I'd love to bat Heyward 2nd, but who leads off then? BJ I guess, but I'd argue Justin might be the second best candidate

if you are batting BJ near the top of the order, I might rather switch him with Heyward, but it's nearly inconsequential either way

if Johnson and Prado both hit cleanup this year, they will have a fascinating race to see who leads the league in double plays grounded into
