I've always thought he was a bit overrated, but he would still be a huge upgrade over Fredi. Wren needs to make it happen if he can't get Maddon.

Frediot isn't getting fired. I was just stating that the Braves should go after Tito

Don't think there's any chance he gets fired
I'd have a shite load more respect for this organization if they did. Someone has to be held accountable for this team blowing a 10 1/2 game lead. You can't let that go without punishment

He finally decided to answer the question (he "wasn't in the mood" to answer it postgame)
All of a sudden? The decision is made before the at bat, Frediot.
quote:
Why did hit pitch to Pence with Martinez on deck? Martinez left the bases loaded with an inning-ending foul pop in the ninth and stranded two with a routine fly in the 11th.
“I thought about not doing it,” Gonzalez said. “But all of a sudden you’ve got the 1-2 or 2-2 count, whatever it was. And Scotty made a great pitch. ... Can you guarantee me Martinez wasn’t going to get a hit, or draw a base on balls?”

Pretty much, yeah

When he went to the SABR convention did he actually pay attention?

No, but there's less than a 1 in 5 chance that he does. Whereas there's about a 1 in 3 chance that Pence does. But since Frediot apparently doesn't read scouting reports, he probably thought Martinez was a smaller version of Barry Bonds.

I wouldn't have a problem with what you said if Chipper wasn't one of the only ones you hear about talking to the guys that just had a bad game or something and need talking to. He is the leader of the clubhouse and without him, our clubhouse is shite

Is everyone feeling better today?
I'm still pissed but another day passed has eased that tension for me.

I actually laughed when Freeman hit into the DP.
That was the perfect way to burn out. It really was.
