This kid is a fricking beast. He was friends with my cousin's stepbrother.

Gonna be a good one. We won't be hurting too much in the terms of pitching in the coming years.

really thought Lipka would be in the majors by now when he was drafted...thought he was the future at CF or SS

Considering some of the other guys that went right after our pick that has to be one of the most disappointing picks we've made in a while.

I'm really hoping LaStella can keep it up at AA, someone with his offensive skillset would look very nice in the #2 spot of our lineup going forward.

Randy Johnson won four National League Cy Young Awards with the D-backs, and Brandon Webb won one. Others, such as Curt Schilling and Dan Haren, made multiple All-Star appearances with the club. Yet none of those well-known hurlers ever did what Patrick Corbin has done in an Arizona uniform this season. The 23-year-old left-hander is the first pitcher in franchise history to throw at least six innings and allow no more than two runs in each of his first seven starts.

Beachy was sitting at 92-93 today.

In other news, Justin Upton and former Brave Lyle Overbay have the same number of RBIs.

Brentz went with the next pick.

Syndergaard, Taijuan, Castellanos, and Olt went after him in the sandwich round.
