A lot of Maholm's struggles early in his career came from his inability to get right-handed hitters out. A few years ago he added more movement to his fastball and he's become a different pitcher.

Yea, I think during the broadcast yesterday on Fox they were talking about how there's not that one dominant all-star starting pitcher in the rotation, but everyone is extremely solid and will keep you in the game. With our bullpen and the way we're hitting, keeping the team in the game is all the starters need to do.

This is Gnats bullpen is just awful.

I never understood why the Nats pen was so hyped before the year. After Soriano, Storen, and Clippard, there's really no one that stands out. Clippard regressed big time last year and Soriano is nearing his mid 30s.
