Team is cursed

You beat me and you have a nice picture.
Fried was placed on the IL with back spasms and should miss one start. Charlie Culberson was designated for assignment.

This next week + without Fried is going to be tough.. Hopefully he and Hamels will be back around the same time and we can finish the season strong. Going to need the offense to step it up with the lack of SP

I feel like Ender is gonna start until Ozzie gets back because our lack of lefty bats

We really need to start tanking pretty hard. I think it's pretty much a given Philly will overtake us for the division lead. Which means we will be either a 4-6 seed. Well, the 4 or 5 seed will have to face the Dodgers in the 2nd round. And screw that noise. So we need to have the worst record of all the 2nd place teams, or the best record of the 2 wildcard teams to avoid them.
Let's hope that works out.

I think him playing today has more to do with Markakis clearly needing a day off.

I thought this year the top 4 seeds get to pick their opponents?
With that said, I think every team will want to play us
in a series with our lack of pitching.

9 games in 7 days for the Phils starting with today’s doubleheader including a 7 game series in Miami. Should have a clear idea of our division chances a week from today.

No that is a proposal for future playoffs. Top 3 seeds are the division winners, 4-6 seeds are 2nd place teams and 7-8 are the two wild cards.

Even with that, they are still in better shape than us.
They're the hottest team in baseball right now.

Most of the projection models give us about an 80% chance of winning the division. We are -300 offshore down from -450 yesterday.

Just hours before the start of the 2020 regular season, the Major League Baseball Players Association approved an agreement with MLB to expand its postseason this year, the league announced Thursday.

ESPN's Buster Olney reported earlier Thursday that as part of the 16-team expanded playoff proposal, the No. 1, 2, 3 seeds in each league—the Division winners—would pick their opponents among the other five teams.

According to ESPN, the agreement is just for this season.

We may win the division, but Philly is better suited to make a run in the playoffs with their rotation.
It would be embarrassing if we win our division, but a team in our division goes further than us in the playoffs once again.

That wasn’t ratified.

MLB is implementing an expanded 16-team playoff format for the 2020 postseason. The top two teams in each division, plus the two remaining teams with the best records in each league, will make up the eight-team fields in the American and National Leagues. The division winners will be the top three seeds in each league, with the second-place teams slotted as seeds four through six, and the remaining two qualifiers seeded Nos. 7 and 8.

Good, the opponent draft was a stupid idea.

I can’t even remember, who’s your team? I know it’s either Clemson or Georgia Tech?

I hate to give AA any benefit of the doubt, but it is absurd how unlucky we have been with pitchers this year
