If seeding is set after game 1, I’m guessing they would cancel game 2?

I would hope so.

Athletic article Thursday said Manfred indicated very unlikely they would be played if a playoff spot isn’t on the line. Braves would get the 5 seed and Mets would get the 6 seed if Monday isn’t necessary.

The only way we don’t make the playoffs is if we go 0-3 and the Dbags win tomorrow

ETA assuming Padres hold on here

Game tonight isn’t over. Padres are using mop up relievers.

Math is simple now. Win 1 of our last 3 or Dbacks loss to Padres tomorrow and we’re in.

Arizona gets 2 hits. According to their TV guys, they took no batting practice and didn’t even throw on the field before the game. And he sounded disgusted talking about it.

Pitching is yet to be set. Could be Sale tomorrow to clinch our spot.

That would be pretty dumb. Sale shouldn’t pitch again in the regular season unless we are faced with a game 162 win or go home.

Am I the only one that would much prefer to play the Brewers over the Padres? Clinch tomorrow and forfeit both Monday games.

Milwaukee is a better team and have been playing great lately.

I'd only want them because it would be slightly less travel going from Atlanta to Milwaukee over Atlanta to San Diego for a game the next day.

Fangraphs is wild'n right now.

Not only does it have us at 100% to clinch the wild card, it also has us with a better chance to win the World Series than the Dodgers.

No team in their right mind wants to play a series where they would have to face Sale, Fried, Schwelly and Lopez. And that’s to say nothing of a series where we are up 3-0 or 3-1 and throw Morton.
