On how much the pre-game ceremony meant to him:
“It meant a lot. It’s the first one where I actually started to get a little misty. To have two of my best friends in the game of baseball out there talking on the scoreboard and standing out there with me. I’m not ashamed to say I’m one of the many people who have a man crush on Ryan Zimmerman too, so to have those three guys standing out there. It meant a lot to me along with Mike Rizzo, probably the most extensive and most meaningful of all the tributes thus far.”
On a surprise to see your bat back from the first homer:
“Yeah I wasn’t expecting that at all. That was probably the nicest surprise. I knew the picture was coming because Rochy called me up a couple weeks ago and asked me….to get a picture with those guys meant a lot to me.”
I missed out on the ceremony, what did they give him?

apparently, Chipper also signed some things for Strasburg and Harper with encouraging sentiments (and an offer to Harper to call him, presumably for guidance).
I have this nagging fear that we see Chipper (and the rest of the Braves) again this autumn and that the results are not so favorable.

I'm surprised chipper is in the lineup. It looked like he was in a lot of pain when he scored on the sac fly last night.
