Given the fact that there’s a low chance of this season actually finishing, and that we only have 2 starting pitchers, I wish we would just use the rest of this “season” as development. Call everybody up and just let them play. It’s not like ticket sales matter, or whoever wins this year will actually be taken seriously. I’d probably be more interested if we could watch Waters, Pache and Anderson play 60 games.

AA needs to be fired for thinking we could get by with Sirius/Fried when guys like Stroman, MadBum, Ryu among others have all been available in the last year.

Newcomb needs to go to the bullpen, Folty is gone, Hamels is out, I’ll give Wright another chance but he didn’t look promising, Chacín just gave up 6 runs, Pfeifer is injured, Walker is injured, Webb is Injured, Will Smith has Covid.
Which basically leaves Touki, who is by no means your ideal starting pitcher, and we still have 1-2 spots to fill

I don’t think we can completely blame him. We didn’t expect Hamels to be injured for 6 months, or Folty to lose 80 pounds.
If you told me our rotation would be Soroka, Fried, Hamels, Folty, Newcomb at the beginning of last year I’d be happy.
