This inning was bad enough, but lost it when we had 1st and 3rd with no outs and got nothing.

He was spinning his wheels out of the box. That part wasn’t his fault. The AB was horrendous though……he and Tromp both.

Yep. Our offense is priming us for a 11 out of 13 in the loss column soon.

Agree...Almost June, low batting avg, only 2 HR, not good in the clutch, another wierd arse injury probably around the corner.

Nick Green is getting on my fricking nerves on the post game. “The offense struggled some in the series”…….they didn’t “struggle”, they were piss poor. Quit trying to minimize how pathetic they were

What makes it even more inexcusable is that this Gnats staff is arse. Their defense is arse. Scoring 1 run over the last 2 games is not struggling, it’s embarrassing. The at bats were hot garbage all series.

To be fair he slipped in the box on that one.....but he makes me irrationally pissed with the way he halfasses it all the time.

Harris had the worst AB of the inning. Not a single pitch thrown his way was a strike

Tromp shoukd have walked and Ronnie swung at 3 balls.

Ronnie
Matt
Riley
Kim

All are just swinging at absolute trash.

The sad thing is that we wasted a whole series of pitching performances from guys that aren’t our “marquee” arms.

Like the Nats have the highest scoring offense in baseball and our staff shite that arse down.

The problem is that our offense got gang raped by the worst pitching staff in the league.

He's one of my all time favorite players.. I love the dude and his passion about baseball and Atlanta but holy shite he has sucked arse this season so far and I keep waiting for him to have his breakout game and it has not happened yet - I am losing confidence that it will never happen

Acuna is not coming back to any superstar form he had a few years ago. He peaked real early and it didn’t last long. I really thought he had KG Jr. type potential. We all did.

Acuna likely won’t run like he did a few years back, but there’s no reason why he won’t hit.

Exactly 1/3 thru the season

We’ve won exactly 2/3 of our games.

Play .500 ball the rest of the way and we finish 90-72.

That should make the playoffs.

Once the playoffs start, it’s whoever plays best for that month.

Also, at 90-72, Philly would have to go 64-45 to catch us.

I really hope you are right, but unfortunately, I think he is cooked. Stikes out entirely too much to be a leadoff batter .

Also, we miss Baldwin.

From an overarching organization developmental standpoint, you look at what our lineup would be when fully healthy, five of the players (Acuna, Albies, Baldwin, Harris, Riley) were internationally signed or drafted by us, four of those players have surpassed their arb years or had their arb years erased by a contract (everyone except Baldwin) and three of them have seen their offensive numbers nearly consistently trend down before their age 30 seasons (Acuna, Albies, Riley).

It's weird as hell that all three were more potent offensively when they first broke in to where they are now as seasoned vets, but still very much in their prime age years.

There is plenty of reason for him not to get back to himself at the dish. Major knee injuries can start to diminish power. He’s had 2 of them……along with all of his other injuries.

I hope he gets back to MVP candidate form, but I am concerned.
