I haven't defended Minter. I have said that he doesn't have the mindset to be a closer. Quit putting words in my mouth.

EOF made an interesting point about Minter recently. He said he thinks part of Minter's issue is that he gets deployed against tough lefties like Yordan Alvarez, but he is not as tough on lefties as you'd think because every pitch he throws has a natural cut to it. He doesn't have anything that breaks in towards lefties, and he can't tie them up under the hands as a result.
