As much fun as division races are, having shite basically locked up before September starts would be lovely.

I don't subscribe to the theory that the long layoff affected us for that series, I just think that Phillies pitching staff was a god awful matchup for our launch angle or die bats, as we found out the year before as well.

I think the layoff killed a lot of the momentum we had, but your point about the Phillies staff certainly played a big role as well.
