Heyward has been pretty weak. Very Francoeurish IMO in that he had a few decent season but then acts like he forgot how to baseball in other seasons.

Maybe move J upton to RF and put GAttis in LF when McCann gets back if Heyward doesn't get his shite together.

At the end of the season he will most definitely be gone, no way they are resigning him with Gattis on board and playing well. Though if we made it to the WS having Gattis as DH would be clutch.

What? I mean the guy had a great 2010, a TERRIBLE 2011, a pretty decent 2012 and he is back to having a TERRIBLE 2013.
I'm not saying do it now, but if he is still hitting under .225 by June 1st, then GAttis-Upton-Upton gives us a better OF.

At least you didn't double post this time

Fredi sounds like he wants to play Gattis at first against Detwiler in his press conference

I've talked to baseball coaches from East Cobb who knows Heyward ppersonally and he was more injured than he let on in 2011. Fwiw

Seriously? nobody thinks Heyward could regress to 2011 levels or worse? He drops his hands big time when he swings and he stands waaaay too far from the plate. You guys can't honestly think letting him stay in the lineup if he keeps hitting like this is the best move.

Don't know. But I could see him sneaking through waivers.

Awesome, I was hoping we'd try him out at 1B some. We could definitely use all the help we can get versus a lefty like Detwiler.
