My 2 biggest fears going into this postseason:

1. Our offense pulling one of their famous disappearing acts
2. Cmart having to close a postseason game

Tbh I thought the braves bailed a little too soon on DK. We were catching on but I thought there was time left.

Defense was awful tonight, worst all year, and that lead to a few runs alone that should Prevented coming up.

I still hate that first half of the braves lineup, no easy breaks. Ocuna ’s hit reminded me of NLCS against dodgers 5 years ago when puig thought he hit a homer and it stayed in. Lol.

Yep Newcomb before Jackson and that decision cost us. Hopefully we can pull an upset tomorrow and get back on track.

I’m gonna day one more thing In this thread: to all the Barves fan saying yall are fricked bc we have Flaherty going in game 2 and 5 you have to remember this is baseball and all kinds of crazy shite can happen. I honestly think when it comes to postseason baseball, whatever is likely to happen in the regular season is almost unlikely to happen in the playoffs and visa Versa.

Winning tonight was a huge help to the Cards chances but who the hell knows what will happen from here

Missed you in the NL Central thread man, so many Cubbies disappeared FAST.

That's generally what happens when your team sucks arse the last 3 weeks of the season and loses the division and wild card to less talented teams.

The Cubs could never get a return for Bryant that would equal or exceed his production over the next two years, so no, I'm not in favor of trading Bryant. Others should be, and probably are, on the table though.

Bryant, Baez, and rizzo are the untouchables imo without without knowing contracts. Jhey can kick rocks, along with most. When will theo believe in youth pitching ?

NEWCOMB IS NOT A LOOGY!!!

And no, I would rather die on the hill with Newcomb than with Luke. Said that even before the lead off homer.

He's started to draft more high ceiling power arms, but they've whiffed on most. Heard this stat the other day...the only player the Cubs have developed in Theo's tenure that wasn't a first round draft pick is David Bote. That's a lot of bad talent evaluation.
