I don’t think a first round bye is any advantage at all in MLB. I get that you have to win the wild card series but once you do you’ve got momentum. As opposed to being off for 4 or 5 days.

Not watching, keeping up on ESPN box score play by play and that 2nd pitch on the computer plate this Ump has not called it a strike all night, low middle has been a ball on every batter on both sides, now he calls it a strike. If that is called a ball he probably takes the next pitch, which was a ball for A 3-0
MLB really needs to go away from UMPS calling balls and strikes. Got to be a better way. They just have to much power over the game. Glavin used to get strikes called a foot outside, LOL.

It’s fine for teams that play loose and confident. We got right and out of sorts at the end of the season and it continued in to the playoffs.

The Braves told the world they were scared of the Phillies and didn't think they could beat them by changing up the record setting lineup before Game 1. The lineup change itself wasn't a huge deal, but the message it sent was.

Brian Anderson gave an incredible call on Harris’s DP in game 2. Our lineup sucks. The announcers don’t.

It wasn't a terrible AB, but the fact that is the best chance we've had to put up a crooked number this whole series and the fact that it is the soon-to-be-named MVP who has been bad (along with the rest of the team) this whole series makes it a gut punch.
That was our first chance to really make their fans pucker their assholes and we let it slip.
