He's done the same to me for calling him Short Bus.

Braves hire Tim Hyers as hitting coach. Consistently ranked as one of the best in the sport. Assistant hitting coach for the Dodgers from 2016-2017. Hitting Coach for the Red Sox from 2018-2021 where he won a WS and the Rangers from 2022-2024 where he also won a WS.

He's an Atlanta boy, also. From Covington. Went to Newton County High. He's been wanting to come back home for a few years as his wife works here.
At first glance, looks like a really good hire.

So what you're saying is that it was a good move to part with Seitzer.

His face looks like a 50-year-old Bryce Elder.

If my math is right, he's homered in his last 3 World Series games.

And before you know who comes in and retorts with his usual "Freddie isn't a Brave because Freddie didn't want to be a Brave"... I think either way you look at it, Freddie either made the right move or AA made a colossal mistake, or maybe it's both.

Freddie will have several more moments like this and will probably win another ring and the Braves won't come close to another WS this window.
It was a bad look letting a HOFer walk in his prime after winning a title all because you wouldn't pay for an extra year on a contract. It looks even more foolish now watching him hit walkoff slams in a WS while you haven't won a playoff series since said player left.

It was over once we let him get into the open market. AA was an idiot for how he tried to kick the can down the road and not re-sign him before the 2021 season.
A dumb gamble and a terrible look. And I've beaten this drum to death, but letting him walk cost us a shite ton of trade capital to get Olson, trade capital that we could've used to continue building around Freddie and Ronald.

I’m just waiting for the inevitable blank cap or L.A. logo on Freddie’s plaque in Cooperstown.

I think it's safe to say AA is going to go get a starter this offseason. Should be plenty of interesting options available. Does he go get someone like Nate Eovaldi? Maybe take a shot on big upside and give someone like Walker Buehler a one year deal?
