Nike fricked up.
I'm not sure you're going to find someone as furious with last year's uniform fiasco than me. My blood boils every time I see them
everything about them is cheap. The logo man being UNDER the piping instead of right at the neck, the piping on the sleeves being connected go the bottom instead of the little stripe like before, the smaller fonts and logos, the list goes on.
And like you said, it ruined what was one of our best jerseys IMO. The navy with the silver piping became one of my favorites that we had.

If tweet fails to load, click here. There is a chance that Murphy doesn't ever get that job back.

Big blow losing murph. Was hoping to let Drake develop a little more in AAA. Murph should catch every day when he returns. I doubt a cracked rib lingers like his oblique did last year.

Yeah, he's getting it back.
He's making too much money.

It hurts more every day.

When Murphy catches, team ERA is in the 2's. When he doesn't, it's in the 4's.
Just a take it FWIW

When Murphy was hurt, we were running out guys like Darius Vines and Allan Winans regularly as starters. Murphy came back right around the same time Schwellenbach solidified the back end of the rotation.

I'm talking the staff as a whole. Quit cherry-picking.
He can call a good game and handle a staff. He needs to improve his defense and offense, obviously.

This makes no sense for what you're responding to.
It's not this board's fault that you refuse the nuance.

I've admittedly been down on Baldwin, but he definitely has the tools to be good in the next 2 years. He needs more seasoning for sure. He can hit but I'm not sold on him as an everyday backstop yet.

I dont really see your concerns about him as an everyday catcher. Great athlete. Kid led Wisconsin in goals scored in hockey during his junior year of HS . By all accounts his defensive has made jumps.

I picked the 5 best starters the last two years, Max, spencer, spencer, Sale and Charlie
Era with Murph. 3.13
Era with TDA 3.63
So Era with Murph is a half run better. I'd say over the course of a season 81 runs is significant.

Maybe, but TDA probably made that difference up by being mostly average at the plate.

Pretty much. Murph had a bad year hitting but the back of his baseball card says he's a good hitter. No one accounts for any kind of nuance.
Murph got hurt game one. Never really caught up. That and the 50/50 split catching did neither him or Travis favors. Didnt allow Murph to catch up or even get hot.
Unfortunately, NegaBraves rule this thread now.

With how Murphy was acquired and what he's done since being acquired, what is there to be positive about?
I mean, you know you're down bad when the argument to defend Murphy's Braves tenure is that pitchers have a slightly better ERA with him than TDA, who caught significantly more games in the last two seasons.
And the nega-shaming is hilarious. How dare people point out real concerns about a team that is in its window and is 2-8 in its last 10 postseason games?
Like if I'm high on Schwelly (said he could make an ace-type jump this season) but am worried about Murphy (and a lot of our offense for that matter), why is only the positive take valid in your eyes? That's lame... don't be lame.
