With a rookie pitcher on the mound I would want my best defensive lineup possible.

So Janish at 3rd or second? Laird behind the plate?

I hope you are right, Broski.

I'd love to even have a chance at a game 5 because anything can happen in one game.

Considering the Braves' postseason track record, I'm probably not.

I'm not the defensive stats guru by any means, but was Uggla bad in the field? He seemed very reliable this year in the field to me.

Considering Elliot has been worse than the pitchers at the plate I would have no issue with Janish at 2B. Laird isn't really any better than McCann.

I just don't see how someone who was cut by the goddamn ROYALS of all fricking teams would be a suitable replacement on a playoff roster. I would have rather called up Pastornicky or some shite.

Someone hasn't been watching the Braves this season.

No, I know Pastornicky was lost early in the season with his shattered and torn knee. I would just rather have him out there than fricking Elliot. The only thing Elliot is good for is a nascar reference in post game interviews.

I'm expecting the worst tonight, even though I seem to be in the minority in the fact that I'm glad Garcia is starting instead of Hale. I wouldn't want to run a rookie out there on the road in an elimination game, especially after what we saw yesterday. If we somehow get back to Atlanta though, all bets are off. It's baseball and anything can happen in one game, no matter who the pitchers are.

Elliot Johnson is just a mind boggling mistake, really. I don't really know why, of guys that were available even, he was the one we chose.

Hell, the Royals cut Johnson because they acquired Emilio Bonafacio, who could have been a better alternative for us.

I have faith that Freddy won't get rocked tonight, like Teheran did. He won't be nervous. We have a chance to win this game. But that chance is almost nil to win Game 5 IMO.

Really underrated loss for this season was Ramiro Pena. He was perfect for this team and would have been a good, competent bench player to have for EXACTLY this reason.

While Oakland and St. Louis are throwing Sonny Gray and Michael Wacha in crucial games, we're stuck with Freddy Garcia. I'd rather throw out Ian Thomas or Aaron Northcraft or Kyle Wren than Freddy Garcia in an elimination game just so I don't have to feel bad about the Braves lack of major league ready depth.
