I disagree he is a replacement level pitcher depending on what your exact definition of the word is
When he is actually healthy (which has been like less than half his career) he is definitely above average at least.

He has literally never been a top-end rotation guy across his career.

I didnt call him a top end arm.
I think there is room for tiers in between top of the rotation pitcher or replacement level pitcher
Replacement level conjures someone like Grant Holmes in my mind.

Since he got to Atl He has been nearly exclusively a 2 pitch pitcher as well which is really strange using the 4 seamer and splitter whereas with the giants he used a 4 pitch mix

This will only work once through the lineup in the playoffs.

Yeah it will the tighest of tight rope walks for sure.
Especially since his 4 seamer while almost always very well located isnt going to blow anyone away sitting around 94 with the ability to maybe hit 96 a few times

Kind of like sales game Mahle doesnt have his best stuff today but has pitched very well regardless so far
