One of the best news items of the day is ronalds Hr came against a 4 seam fastball high in the zone which he is hitting .189 against that pitch upper part of the plate this year.

If that hole in his game is plugged he really might be back

The question becomes do the Phillies risk Luzardo getting tossed if he plunks the second batter of the game. (assuming Ronald stays at the 2 spot tomorrow) Do they employee an “opener” to do it?

Does Walt list an opener as a starter to counter it?

If Luzardo plunks Acuna, you either have to toss him…or do nothing as umpires. You can’t give a warning without us being able to respond. So many possibilities of how this could play out.

And we literally gave up nothing to bring him here.

He will regress to a mean. He’s a solid pitcher and always has been when healthy which has been very rare. I think he could pitch to an 3.00 Era when all things are accounted for regarding regression over a full healthy season right now.

But it’s totally possible he continues to be a 2 ERA near 1k per inning low walk 2nd ace for us through October since the sample is small

The Braves desperately needed some swagger headed into the playoffs, and Ronald is providing that and then some.

Him rounding the bases and the crowd booing and him just giving him the frick you trot the whole time was the best moment of the entire season

I agree with this. If they throw at Acuna, and since it's a Don Mattingly team, they probably will, then I'm earholing Harper in his first at bat.
