That Yaz AB was the last two Braves and Phillies playoff series in a microcosm.

We try so hard fighting from behind exhausting all of our energy, only for Philly to punk us in the end.

Another example of us being so afraid of Turner's speed that we give Philly an extra out.

We're playing like scared bitches today.

Solid contact from Murph and Riley.

Why didn’t Ozzie try to get the runner out?!?!?

Turner would have scored.

You still get the rundown going and run him back to first, not just give up.

Ronald could carry the Braves a long way.

Need August Olson right here.

ETA: He's toast

He did send the ball to the warning track. Thats an improvement.

Not if the guy hitting directly behind him is slashing .077/.111/.115.

That's Olson's last seven games

Phillies LF line is 329. It was a lazy fly ball that he hit in defense because he fell behind 0-2.

There was nothing good about that.

Mahle had like 9ks his last start and IIRC 8ks the start before that.

Youre overblowing his inability to get Ks

Perez though yeah

And Mahle has zero earned runs today. Some enjoy being negative

Sample sizes are a thing for a reason.

Mahle has been great for us. There will be a regression to the mean. That's what baseball is.

If Mahle doesn’t regress until next spring, then we’re good. No one thinks he’ll pitch like this forever, but most anyone can see he’s pitching extremely well right now.
