To have these 3 pitching performances and go 0-3 is ridiculous.

Putting Iggy in this spot is wild

This. We’d be trying to win the series if he did.

Is Kim that much faster than Olson?

Pinch running for Olson is certainly a choice. He isn't fast, but he is your best player by a good bit.

Putting Dom at first for the bottom of the inning is an even bigger choice

Olson easily scores on that hit too

I know you’ve mentioned this, and it’s no shade on him—he’s doing almost exactly what he’s done his whole career, and has gotten a few big hits throughout the year—but Dominic Smith is slashing .266/.321/.398 with 8 home runs in 265 PAs this year.
Career line is .251/.316/.404 with a career high of 12 home runs. That’s fine, nice for a spot start here or there or a late game pinch hitter. But that just can’t be our every day DH. It shortens the lineup. Or rather doesn’t lengthen it as much as it needs to be.

Jesus. Are we really bringing Kinley in?

Hate trying a hit and run there with 1 out for exactly that reason

Damn, I’m not watching the game and just looked at the box score. My comment about Dom had nothing to do with his hat trick at the time that just turned into the ol’ golden sombrero. I had no idea what he’d done today.

So which Yankee takes Kinley yard to win it?
Posted on 8/9/26 at 3:04 pm to Volsfan82169
Kinley coming in a high leverage spot in a game to avoid a sweep is a direct indictment on AA doing frick all at the deadline.

Kinley? What’s Weiss up to in this series.
Posted on 8/9/26 at 3:05 pm to Hot Carl
With Baldwin, Dom isn’t an everyday DH.

It Kinley actually does this…
