This is getting ugly quickly. Our sleepy bats aren't getting anything else off Rodriguez while Holmes is going to give up at least 5 today.

We can’t take this weak arse pitching rotation in the playoffs.

You said we would definitely get a frontline starter at the deadline.

Now, you're trying to prop up a dude who is rehabbing TJ.

The Braves should refund game tickets to fans that attend when Elder or Holmes is starting. They are both fricking awful..

The fact that we are having to rely so heavily upon he and Elder in this rotation is AGAIN laid at the feet of AA

As I was saying

AA doesn’t get hammered enough for this shite

Relying so heavily on pitchers coming off of severe injuries has worked out so well for us in the past. We're going to need to go get three starters this winter.

Of course, other teams get their offense to pick up their struggling pitchers. Our offense has been asleep for a few weeks now.

This team used to terrorize good pitchers. Now they can only hit guys at the bottom of opposing rotations.

They fool fans that don’t REALLY understand the game. They think because the offense erupts every once in a while, against terrible pitching, that the offense is fine.

Against good pitching, they are TERRIBLE

Whoever ends up as the 6 seed will absolutely be favored over us.

Nah, we'll still have Sale going game 1 at home, so theoretically, we'd just have to split the next two.

AA let this team the frick down when it comes to playing in a 5-game series though, let alone a 7-game.

Decent chance that could go like it did last night. This team cannot hit halfway decent pitching to save their lives.

Of course, all I’m saying is that Vegas will favor us in the Wild Card series

Not sure our 2 and 3 (whoever that ends up being) would compare favorably to any playoff squad 2 and 3. And it’s criminal how little run support we give Sale.

Our best hope is that the 6 seed has had to use their horses just to get in the playoffs. We would have a distinct advantage then.

So right now, our postseason rotation is looking like:

Sale
Perez
One of Elder/Mahle/Holmes

Christ.

Credit to Perez for what he has become this season, but it's a failure on all levels that an over-the-hill non-roster-invitee is looking like the #2 starter on a team that entered the season with postseason aspirations.

Pathetic job by AA.

I’m not trying to prop up anything. But AJSS will likely take Holmes starting spot. Do you not want to see AJSS?

The Braves did get a frontline starter. Hard to pitch any better than Mahle since he’s been with the Braves.

Holy Strawman argument Batman

You are so full of shite

Mahle has been in the MLB since 2017. He has zero postseason starts.

Two good games in August doesn't make him a "frontline" starter.

Mahle is likely to be a game 2 playoff starter this year, so call him whatever you want.

It was shocking the Braves didn’t come up with another starter, but here we are.
