Idk how I feel about Murphy coming back. When it happens, I hope we hold onto Bart, allowing Baldwin to be a DH more than a C for the remainder of the season.

I know how I feel... the same as I do now
That dude isnt moving the needle at all for me, and if he comes back and plays well then I'll admit i was wrong.
Him and HSK aren't magically fixing our problems. Murphy isn't even the best catcher on our team and HSK is basically the third best SS lol

BART is a good player, and might live up to expectations with enough starts. I don’t mind carrying three catchers, but then theirs a crunch on who gets sent down or released.

Hicklin is gone when Acuna comes up and then when it's Murphy's time, it would be one of White, Mateo, Smith or Jarvis. Of those four, Jarvis would likely be the guy since he has options and would get little playing time with Dubon moving back to SS.

NEW YORK -- The Mets’ nightmare season continued on Saturday with unwelcome news from an MRI tube, which revealed that Juan Soto has a Grade 2 strain of his left calf and will miss significant time. The team placed him on the 10-day injured list prior to Saturday’s game against the Dodgers, recalling infielder Eric Wagaman.
Although the Mets won’t have a definitive timeline for Soto’s return until they receive additional medical opinions on his test results, they expect him to miss more than the 2.5 weeks he lost to a strained right calf in April.
Soto deciding if he's gonna play these final 50 some odd games of their miserable season -

Keep hugging the plate and being surprised when the pitch catches you too inside

Didier is feeling good tonight. Went 101, 100, 100 on those three fastballs.
