We have to get King early while he's fighting his command

Yeah that was probably the only run we're getting off of him. He got out of that and will settle down.

I know this is stupid but just for shits and giggles I propose that for every strikeout from Austin Riley he should donate $1000 to some type of charity. If he would do that it wouldn't make much of a dent in the amount remaining in his contract......ridiculous

A rare shite pitching night from King and we are letting him off the hook.

Hope we don't face these ducks in our WC series. They have our number for sure

He goes on a heater for 4 or 5 days followed by a mundane series of at bats for a month

Not really. It has been a rough series here vs the Padres for him but he isn't cratering.

His OPS has gone from over 1.000 to 868 in 2 months.

He isn’t hitting many HR either

He has 6 HR this month and his OPS is higher right now than it was at the beginning of July.

A 40 HR/40 2B season is very much in play for Olson. There have been less than 40 of those in MLB history.

He is below that pace. It’s only in play because of his torrid start to the year. He is not going to get 40 in either category.

All of his metrics are dipping.

Looks like we are going to have to shutout the Padres to win this game........not likely IMO
