He could pitch that rookie of the year floater to Kim and he couldn’t hit it.

idk what the real thread is so I'm just gonna post this here too.

That's a bummer because it's the hardest ball Kim has hit since returning.

Dude is unlucky. Our bats are lowkey going in the tank though. We are due a regression to the mean, but damn.

Sure thought Kim was going to reach after the ricochet.

Didn't matter. Somehow the 43 year old-- ... I mean 38 year old Chapman was able to get up and quickly field that.

Must be some good roids.

Dude is definitely on something. He sweats profusely before he even gets out there and just look at his body

The offense hasn't been good since leaving Colorado other than the last 2 games against LA.

That means WW can't deploy those low leverage arms out of the pen because we're trying to keep games close to have a chance to win. They dont trust enough of the other guys in the bullpen and that's also an issue that needs to be figured out. Can't just have Lee, Suarez, Iggy every night. Especially with whatever theyre doing with Fuentes. The Kinley magic seems to have ran out too.

Bottom line... the offense isn't good enough right now.

Hard to believe Walt wouldn’t send out a righty from the pen to pitch to Contreras. Fourth time through vs their cleanup hitter. It was time to pull Elder.
What was Walt’s plan if Elder only gave him six innings?

The only real option tonight was probably Lopez, and I'd much rather have a tired Elder pitch to someone in high leverage than Lopez right now.

Considering he pitched the 9th, it was clearly Martin Perez.

Lopez is going to be a problem all season. He looks completely cooked to me, but he is still owed a lot of money both this season and next season. The "mechanical problem" is bullshite, IMO. We can't send him to Gwinnett and we can't pitch him in anything other than mop up duty.

Bummer needs to be DFA'd and I'm kind of surprised it hasn't already happened. This is the last year of his deal anyways.

We need to go ahead and make Fuentes a full time reliever for this season and not worry about keeping him stretched out to start.

The top bullpen pitchers had Thursday off. I guess they can only pitch every other night?

And the problem with staying with Elder is that Contreras has seen him a bit over the years and has certainly seen him all night.

Understandable why Suarez, Iggy, and Lee were all down after looking at that chart. Didier was down too because they aren't using him on back to back days right now.
