They should have not have been complete morons and burned Sale closing with a 4 run lead against Philly. It's just complete idiocy from Walt and AA.
It doesn't matter if we beat Philly if we don't get Sale twice against the Dodgers. It was straight stupid at the time, and looks bran dead now that Sale isn't going today.

I don't really understand DHing Murphy and playing Baldwin at catcher. Murph hasn't hit a lick in years, but he's a much better defensive catcher than Baldwin.

win or loss, AA sucks at his job.
ETA: also there was no reason to pitch Sale in G3 against Philly. Walt is questionable as well.

Watching Dodgers and now Padres/Brewers. It always seems like the Braves never have pitchers with this type of filthy stuff.

It just shows you how scared AA and Walt were of the Ohillues and how they had no aspirations of winning beyond that round.
If it was a 1-run game? You pitch Sale
If it was the same 4-run scenario? You only pitch Sale if you use that outing his pen day and that he would still be on regular start schedule.
If the scenario is that you know Sale wouldn’t be on his regular rest then you absolutely do not pitch Sale in that spot.
Just so short sighted and stupid, because are pitching was kinda fricked even with Sale on regular rest, now we’re royally fricked.
