But you are ok with 4-5-6 loss teams making bowl games? I just dont get it lo

I mean its just a bowl game. To get extra practice, and an extra game for the team. Not like playing in "playoffs"

Give more teams opportunity, and the best players won't all flock to 4 schools.

Best players are going to flock to the winners most of the time. Just how it is

I don’t see them doing away that either. There’s a reason we have more bowl games now compared to a few decades ago. The playoffs will only consistently make money for a handful of teams. The other teams (like 90% of FBS) are going to want that bowl bid possibility because that’s not going to be them

I don't either...even though they should. The problem for bowl games, right, wrong or indifferent, is that players are just simply not going to play in meaningless football games anymore. Attendance at bowl games is dwindling year after year, and players opting out is only going to increase this. The bowl system may just eventually go away on its own? Many bowl games are already starting to fold.

Which is exactly why the best players on those teams are going to opt-out...its meaningless. Sponsors are going to stop spending money on such. Many bowl games are already starting to fold.

That's what i was saying. I know they will NEVER give up the 12 game format.

They could do a covid-esque format.

I.e. teams have 11 scheduled games. For teams that make a conference title, that’s their 12th game. The other teams have to play another team from the opposite division of their conference for their 12th game.

Has zero to do with opting out. That is judt the way of life now. Covid made it more common this year than ever before. Players who think they have a chance to be drafted high will opt out to avoid injury. They dont care if they are on alabama, or alabama a&m
