It feels that every time we have a chance to put some real pressure on the Europeans, they make a clutch put. They are putting so much better than us and are rightfully winning because of it. We need to go at least 3-1 this afternoon to have a chance tomorrow.

You are such a fricking idiot mingo

Essentially the way the euros have played has put us in a 4th and 12. Extremely hard to pick that up. Keegan has called fullback dive a few times on it and you defend it because “well it’s a tough play to make”

A team can play great making your situation tough and you can also do stupid shite. It’s not some zero sum game

2.5-1.5 gets us to the 10-6 that was overcome at Medina and the country club.

Who would you have paired together that would've fared any better?

I think our guys just don't have it this week, for whatever reason.

Europe very well still could have kicked our arse. They are playing awesome. It’s also something where they prioritize data (Dodo Molinari is an assistant captain basically solely for data) and we clearly don’t. Sending out Henley on the odds yesterday and sending our worst data golf foursomes pairing twice is proof of that. If it works that’s great, but that is going against what the data tells you to do.

Obviously there is more to it than that, but I don’t know why you’d go against the data. It felt like Keegan’s only plan was to try and win or birdie the first hole in foursomes and go from there. We played the first hole better than we ever have. We just didn’t do shite after that.

Exactly. Is it a coincidence the team using data is kicking the arse of the team that is going against the data? Possibly

But it sure seems stupid as shite to go against the data just because…

And the data shows that no combination would have mattered thus far.

Just because you don’t understand the data it doesn’t mean it wouldn’t have mattered

Correct. They didn’t play great, but they would have to play out of their mind to win. If anything, Scottie being a donut boy is where we should be laying the blame

Please. The European team is much more talented than us.
