The draft was cooler when it was for football junkies and had actual football content (stats, highlights, etc).

It's a cool idea for sure, and if they can keep the intrigue long enough to make it work then it will be great. If they are saying a name over the speaker then getting the life vest on the prospect it will take a year. If they can get the guy boated over first then announce it will work (just not sure how you can do that in 2020)
