Typically you're giving up 2 strokes to the field if you play 15, 16, and 17 in +1, especially from the middle of the fairway on 15.

That Jason Day shot was insane.

Not a terrible shot from Tiger front he sand, but that's a long birdie attempt.

I feel like they're just fricking with us with Rahm's shots.

Tiger should come in -2. That would most likely keep him within 2 of the lead, unless someone goes nuts.

ETA: Rahm tied for the lead in the clubhouse.

Tiger should be at -4 with a decent putter, but i'll gladly take where he is as of now. Overall this has to be a big confidence boost for him.

That was a really good round of golf. His putting being so bad is still shocking to me.

ETA: Rahm easily could have been -5 or better too.

-2 isn’t a bad start. But he easily could’ve shot a 66 or 67 today

Oof, Rory.

Happy to see Holmes and Fowler at -2.

Spieth's outfit has him looking like a junior golfer out there

I’m surprised -3 is leading. The wind really isn’t blowing and the temperature is perfect.

Who wants to do the research and see how Tigers' first day at the Masters has looked each year since his first appearance?

Yep. If I'm Tiger, today was a huge win. He'll be able to try and go shoot something tomorrow without having to worry about making a score just to continue. That's been the trend too much lately so hopefully we get a much more relaxed Tiger tomorrow.

Been some pretty tough pins today, and let's remember it is Augusta. I know there have been some crazy low scores in recent years, but I wouldn't say that's the norm.

I mean, it wasn’t THAT bad. Sure he missed a few, but he made some also, and lag putted pretty well when needed. You’re going to miss some putts

They aren't even out of it yet.

ETA: Speith may be out of it now.
