He's leaving everything right of the pin for the most part. His swing looks like he's trying to draw it around though.

Yep. Some of these shots he just doesn't need to. It will never change, but sometimes you don't need to shape a shot. Just hit it at the damn pin

Tiger doesn't seem to have his distances dialed in with his irons today. Hasn't been pin high very much at all and when he has been, he's been way off line. I don't know if that's because he hasn't played on a course where elevation is such a huge factor since he's returned.

Well, in fairness, Augusta requires you shape most of your approach shots into the green.

One of the kids was like why aren’t we watching Tiger. Other kid says Mr sms151t doesn’t like black guys. Other kid responds Tiger ain’t black he’s white that’s just missed out the bleaching

Honestly may be his strategy with the course conditions this morning. And if you'll look at his history in majors, Tiger seems to generally play things safe in round 1. Think he doesn't want to risk falling out of contention in round 1. Even par is basically never a bad round in round 1 of a major.

Agree and he's probably peeking st the leaderboard and sticking with what's working okay for the moment. It'll be interesting to see what happens if we start to see some -4's.

With his recent history, probably not a bad strategy. Honestly, if his bunker/pitching was tighter today, he'd probably be sitting at -1 right now.

They mentioned it early on the featured group broadcast, but Tiger is and has always been one of the most conservative players on Tour. He just grinds it out and makes a few putts here and there until he feels like he’s got a pin he can attack
