It is still very early. Everyone should slow down with the predictions.

Tiger started with a 3 putt and very well may close with a 3 putt....

Looked like a good lag to me.

Damn good. I was saying that before his putt. His short game has been on point today minus that 3 putt and and a dicey chip in the first couple holes. Wouldn't shocked to see him out up a 68/69 tom and make it to the weekend.

Not a great round for Tiger but not a horrible round either.

Tiger didn't completely play himself out. That's all he needed. He's not on the verge of having to drop out.

I like how he closed. Good tee shots on 16, 17, and 18. Approach shots were on target, but distance control and striking was a little off. All things that come with more play. Hopefully he has knocked some rust off and comes out with a solid under par round tomorrow. I think a big success would be -3 tomorrow.

He is still the favorite.

And he took some monster swings and didn't tweak his back.

Tiger's back doesn't get tweaked until he's on the verge of missing a cut.

He's 9 back. What do y'all expect the winning score to be?

Nobody has a chance if Speith doesn't calm down. There are only 7 players better than -3 right now. Speith at -8 is stupid. But anyone who shoots under par each of the next three rounds could have a chance.

Day just said exactly what I said earlier in this thread. The greens were slower than expected today.
I personally felt like a lot of guys missed putts today because they were worried about speed that wasn't there.
