It's absurd that's a two shot penalty with all the relief they give guys all the time. Either have anal rules or don't

Probably already been discussed, but what is Lowry complaining(mildly) about?
He takes a hack through longish grass right next to his ball and rips through some thick grass that’s his ball is resting on. The ball moved bc of it.

My issue with the penalty is how many other players does that happen to and we don’t have the HD camera in super slow mo looking right at their ball.
Nobody spots that without NBC replaying it. I certainly didn’t live. I’ll give Lowry the benefit of the doubt that he didn’t notice in real time either.

Really impressed with Gotterup. Won Scottish Open last week and had no plans to play this week (wasn’t eligible). Then had to scramble and get all arrangements made to get here. Lots of hangover was evident in Thursdays round (+1) and comes out today and shoots -6. Tied for 5th. A course he’s never played.
No idea how he ends up but just making the cut is a big deal then to be 5th is a massive achievement.

Did anyone hear Bryson’s interview after the round? He said he played exactly the same both days and shot 13 strokes different. Chalked it up to links golf. That’s a pretty douchey statement. He’s starting to become unlikeable. Front runner mentality.

Bryson lost 5.5 shots T2G on day 1, and gained 5.5 shots T2G on day 2.
Appears the big difference was in ball striking.
