The greens are khaki already. Could be a bloodbath later.
Wonder what the mowing height is.

Didn't check the rest of the thread, so it's been a busy weekend and this is the first I've been able to watch the US Open. Why does this course look so burned out? The greens look terrible. Definitely not picturesque like Augusta.

The greens being burnt out by the weekend has become common place at the US Open.

the New York crowd is awful,
And we are supposed to enjoy watching the best golfers in the world fall on their faces on a course set up to make them look amateurish. If I want to enjoy mediocrity i go to my local course and watch weekend golfers do the same. You can watch a great shot at this open turn into a long wedge shot after hitting the green 2 feet from the cup and rolling off the green a hundred feet. The PGA must be laughing their heads off watching their chosen golf course make fools of these pros.

The PGA has nothing to do with this tournament

I think it's fun to watch pros struggle and actually be tested. Who wants to see guys go -20 for a tournament?

They don't water them so the organizers can have a course with greens like wax over rock. Must make them feel good having the pros seemingly play as bad as them.

What did Phil just do? I’m not near a tv.

Made a 5’ putt for par on 13. Raised his hands like he just won the open.

Fowler -4 through 11. Should be entertaining at the very least for the leaders today. That's all I really want anyway.

I will NOT smoke weed with John Hopkins
