Again Thad Matta has a series of serious medical conditions that ruined his ability to recruit and coach like he was used to. It ruined him. He didn’t just forget how to coach. It was absolutely time to move on, but let’s just please pump the breaks on Holtmann. He isn’t even close to Thad Matta level yet. I agree, next year we have some serious talent coming in. We are going to be expected to win. Expectations change everything. That’s why I feel like this win tonight was huge for Holtmann. There’s no guarantee we live up to expectations next year. If he doesn’t win, the pressure will mount. I’m just going to sit back and root for this team and see what they can do with house money.

Holttman has proven he can do more with less (2018) and lesser(2019). He won with Matta's weak recruits.
Why do Ohio State fans needs to lower their expectations when more talent comes in?
I loved what Matta did here. It was time to go. Holtmann has proven his chops with less talent, why would more talent be worse?
Until he shows otherwise, it's only the time for optimism.

These damn clock reviews are getting absurd. I get it when it’s late in the 2nd half but taking 2 minutes to stop the game 7 minutes into the first for a couple seconds is stupid.
