Loved the post match speeches. Very respectful. Carlos with the “Spanish never die” haha

Novak really showing true grit with this win, very significant in his career imo

6 Miami
2 Monte Carlo
3 Madrid
6 Rome
4 Canada
3 Cincinnati
4 Shanghai
6 Paris

On top of his 23 Grannies

If the final is anyone but Alcaraz vs Djokovic, it's going to be a letdown. But at this point, I'm not sure who can compete with those two. Only player I can really see pulling off an upset is Zverev. Though, Alcaraz could always get upset if he plays like he did earlier in the week when he was dropping sets to Thompson, Paul, and Purcell.

Also something that doesn't matter. But Djokovic will regain the #1 rankings (as long as he doesn't lose in the 1st round ). And this stretch might be the last time we see Djokovic as #1 for the foreseeable future. Djokovic has a ton of rankings points to defend between the end of the US Open through the Australian Open. Carlos only has a few hundred since he missed most of the end of last year with injuries.

So crowded too. The announcer made a comment about how many people were there. Is this common for that many people to attend qualifying?

They were saying the same thing about Cincinnati too. I don't know if this is a covid rebound, or racquet sports gaining popularity at the moment, but all of the tournaments seem to be packed.

Meanwhile players are dropping (out) like flies in Winston-Salem. I get it. I wouldn't want to burn out playing in 90-95 degree heat in a 250 tournament with the US Open a week away.

It's US Open time!

Well, a really crazy incident just happened in which a few fans got into with Viktor Troicki, who is backing Hamad Medjedovic, before this final set with Borna Gojo.

It really was NOT a good look at all. Thankfully no brawl started.

Confrontation between a US Open fan and Viktor Troicki, the American fan was being VERY aggressive to Viktor. Seems like Viktor asked the fan to keep it down, and the fan exploded. Unnecessary. ‘This is New York, not F****** Serbia’, the fan said

Was gonna wait for the thread but we can always re-post these.

Men’s Draw

Women’s Draw

Alcaraz, Zverev, Sinner in same quarter somehow. Medvedev also in Alcaraz’s half. Novak draw as cakey as possible.

Coco got screwed with Andreeva in R2 and Swiatek in same quarter.
