Not because of you. You get rock hard over anyone under 25 who shows any potential.
Dude, just shut the frick up. Seriously. I'm not trying to take credit for Teetsy being top-tier (hereinafter TTT) and me having been talking about him a year ago. No no. I'm just remembering your kicking and screaming -- "I'm taking my ball and going home" -- post from last Fall. You know, the one where you were both super adamant about being right while simultaneously being wrong.* And I'm slyly grinning. Because it's funny that you appear to still have your heels dug in.
quote:
We’re talking about a guy who hasn’t accomplished anything. Oh wait. He won a couple 250’s by beating Gulbis and Kukushkin in the finals. Brb... let me go masturbate
You mean masturbate over the guy who hasn't made it as far in a slam as teetsy? Oh wait, you already did that.
quote:
With so many geniuses out there, it’s unreal that none of them are successful at betting tennis
This is fantastic. Let me translate.
"It doesn't matter that I'm wrong here, because I'm smarter than everybody here. Says me."
Just let it go, dude. Like Adele Dazeem. Let it go.
___________
*this is actually a pet peeve of mine. It's okay to be wrong. But if somebody is wrong while hammering away at the pulpit, they're gonna fricking hear about it from me.

I still have some faith the lostgen dudes like Nishi, Cilic, Grigor might have a major or two in them as the Big 3 phase out and the young guns aren't yet ready to dominate.
I can see Cilic winning another. Kei has the game, but his body breaks down by the semis. It's really unfortunate, honestly. I'd be surprised if Grigs is ever holding GS hardware.
Oh, and you forgot to mention the great Milos Raonic.

Thiem seems like a tweener in all of this, but he should win an RG if Rafa ever falls off in the next couple of years.
He'll get himself an RG win. Maybe two. He won't ever own the event like many think. His game is obviously nicely suited for clay, but he's still a player with notable flaws that don't appear to be changing.

TTT is up to 11 in the world. This time last year he was 70th.
Oh, and I'm just gonna state one time for the record that any inevitable whining from any posters on here about who I choose to post about will be dismissed by me without comment. In one ear, out the other. I will pay it no mind.
Tsitsipas is a player on the rise. He deserves to be talked about. Period.

Had to go dig up my original post. I had never read any replies (honestly) because I thought they might piss me off and make me want to respond.
We could have stopped there. In fact, that's what I did, because that's exactly what I meant. I don't know why you can't resist the urge to turn it into a prediction game when I literally said "at this time" more than once, and it was never edited. In other words, if Khachanov and Medvedev each win 20 slams and Zverev quits tennis next week, what I said will still be 100% true until the end of time.
In fact, even if we were hypothetically talking about future accomplishments, I don't think I've ever been all that bullish on Zverev anyway, which makes this "argument" borderline comical. It's funny that you think I'm a big Zverev fan now too, based on a message that you seemingly misinterpreted intentionally. And it's even funnier that you chose him in fantasy as a #1 pick.
Maybe. But I will call out anyone who picks a dozen young players and tries to take credit for the success of one or two without mentioning the other 10 or 11.
quote:
With this, I’m acknowledging that when it comes to career accomplishments thus far, that Alex is on a much higher level than the other three. This cannot be denied in any way, and for the various reasons you have pointed out. 3 Masters Titles. 9 ATP wins. Was ranked as high as #3 in the world.

Kyrgios on why he played well: “I saw Nadal in the draw.”
At the same time he has both knees taped and supposedly has tendonitis issues.

What’s the bold signify? Better matchups?
Delpo out for Indian Wells. Hard to believe last year at this time he seemed nearly unbeatable and almost won Acapulco, IW, and Miami in a row.

Just matchups I found interesting. Solid day of non-gs action.
Isner and Querry are playing each other right now, and then playing doubles together in a couple of hours! I'm sure that is no bug deal to these guys, but i don't remember seeing that before.

Wow, thanks for the heads-up. Nick and Rafa up now. It messes me up in the head that a city on the Pacific is in the central time zone.

Dude is taped up in the knees, pink shoes, banging forehands, and carving drop shots. Let's hope he can hang for a while and make it entertaining most of the night.

Would you guys go a little deeper on the return?

waiting for kyrgios to michael chang it before this match ends

Nick seems to have Montezuma's and is probably going to shite himself or quit at some point in the next 15 minutes.

Interesting that you say that. I was just thinking how cool it is to see the Mexicans cheer for a spaniard a mere 498 years after Cortes killed their king and raped their women. We've come far as a civilization.

Agassi would never tolerate this.
