Absolutely wrong. Hear me out.

When you have two 2-8 Sun Belt teams playing in 45F in November, nobody wants to see that. It's boring, and neither team gives a damn anymore.

This game should be played on Labor Day every year at 7pm CT. First half under the sun, second half under the lights, both teams optimistic for some reason, and about 20 freshmen from area schools on both teams playing their first college game in front of their friends and family.

25K at that game, every year, minimum.

The final two games in the last series were played in November between teams that had sucked all year, so only about 15K showed up. When you play early in the year, you get great weather and teams that might be good for all you know. In fact, it probably would be a tough ticket by which to come.

Tech has nothing to gain from avoiding this rivalry.

I was born in West Monroe. My dad's alma mater is ULM. He played football for ULM. I grew up rooting for LSU (now my alma mater) and 1AA power NLU (and, therefore, hating Tech).

In 1990, Tech canceled the series, which was understandable; after all, Tech was now 1A, and NLU 1AA. We figured, however, that the rivalry would be renewed in four years when NLU's plan of moving up was complete.

But for some reason, Tech doesn't want the series played home/home on a permanent basis. Those reasons have been discussed.

I figure that Tech would win 60% of the time. I think that Tech knows this as well, and that the 40% of the time ULM wins will hurt their program. I think that that is a dumb thing/way to think.

It was one of my favorite football rivalries to see, and a lot of people enjoyed it, and it's too bad that Tech doesn't want it to continue.

You do understand that it was the ULM side that didn't supply the return game that stopped this whole party right?

I'm serious. I want this explained to me. Here are the facts of which I am aware:

- Tech/ULM was a decades-old rivalry.
- Tech canceled when they went 1A.
- Tech/ULM continued to play in almost every other sport for over a decade.
- ULM canceled the series with Tech in all sports in response to what they considered Tech's refusal to play them home/home permanently in football.

If there are facts that I do not know, please tell them to me.

The facts are that you're a delusional Chickenhawks fan, and that your mom wears combat boots.

That was the point. It was about as clever as your pathetic anti-Tech campaign. Go worry about beating your friends in the Sun Belt and stop wasting your time with Tech.
