You have an interesting imagination. LT's 1A/FBS history:

overall, all-time: 130-140-4 (.481)
Southland (1A from 1978-1981): 9-10-1 (.475)
Big West: 5-13 (.277)
Western Athletic: 30-34 (.468)

So where's all this 500+ shite happening? In 24 1A/FBS seasons, eight of them have resulted in winning records. Also, since 1A was even created, LT is 9-9 vs. ULM.

LIST THE .500+ SEASONS ULM HAS HAD SINCE PLAYING D1-A
1978: 6-4-1
1980: 7-4
2007: 6-6

Three out of 18 of ULM's 1A/FBS seasons have resulted in records of .500 or more.

No winning seasons since 1993. (ULM began D-1 A play in 1994)

ETA- Did ULM play 1-A then drop, then come back up?

That was before 1-AA was created.

ULM began 1A play in 1978 (when D1 was split) and dropped to 1AA in 1982. So did Tech.

I suggest that you do a little more homework before returning to this conversation.

LTU
1978 6-5
1989 5-4-1
1990 9-3
1991 8-1-2
1996 6-5
1997 9-2
1998 6-6
1999 8-3
2001 7-5
2004 6-6
2005 7-4
2008 8-5

Few more than 3.

Gotchya. Ok well I'll stick to the past 15 years. That should be a good indicator of a team's worth.

I will say though, don't get too worked up xiv.. ULM is not a bad place, and I rather liked Calvin Dawson. Its just fun to debate with someone.

Then it was only Division 1, Division II or D III. They weren't DII or DIII.

Up until 1977, yes. D1 was split in 1978, and the Southlad schools were included, including NLU and Tech. In 1982, they dropped to 1AA; I'm guessing that was because of stricter requirements for 1A.

I bet it would have been a lot more if we were in the Sun Belt instead of the WAC.

You know the Johnny's Pizza in Monroe is so much better than the one in Ruston.

2 ways. What's Tech's record vs Sun Belt teams in the past 15 years?

Nay, they prefer to have traditional, annual rivalries with Utah State, New Mexico State, Idaho, San Jose State, and Reno, all of whom are so much bigger than ULM.

I know everytime I'm in a sports bar . . .whether in New Orleans, New York, Houston, wherever . . . I have to practically get in a fight to have just one of the televisions switched to LSU/Alabama, LSU/Florida OR USC/Notre Dame OR Texas/Oklahoma. Everyone wants the goddamned things tuned into Reno or Utah State. Every now and then, Lolly Polly . . . but not so much.
