Why doesn't he try TE? Why quit when you could do something in the NFL.
They already have boatloads of guys that have been playing Tightend for years. Why take on a project like that if your a NFL team?

While he sucked arse in nfl dogging his college play seems off.
i dont think anyone is dogging his college play. just saying that what he was doing and the simplicity of the offense didnt do anything to prepare him for the nfl

the playbook at florida was about 3-4 plays
I guess I should never be amazed at some of the stupid shite I read on here.

Not entirely. 07 it was all Tebow with some Harvin. 08 was Tebow more as a distributor because of Hernandez Rainey and Demos. Harvin was the reason UF beat OU though

sure but not all of those guys have the athleticism and character Tebow does
either way, the guy could be a 2nd or 3rd string TE or FB and a special teams guy
Im sure he will be successful at whatever he does outside of football so he probably sees a position change as a waste compared to what he can do elsewhere in the world.

quote:Harvin and Hernandez accounted for about 34% of all receiving yards.
And what percentage of that was quick screens, pitches to Harvin and hernandez and very very basic routes.
Answer: a lot of it.
Tebow had 9.2, 9.2, & 9.4 Yards per Attempt in his three years. In the 3 seasons since then, only 5 SEC qbs have had over 9 yards/att.

one play with multiple options doesn't constitute multiple plays. they did the same things out of multiple formations. when you have a coach making sure everyone is it the right formation, Tebow only had to worry about giving the ball, keeping it and running, or keeping it and throwing. he had fast receivers so it's not like he had to worry about nfl like coverage disrupting his terrible throws.

he wasn't slinging it all over the field
he had a high average because they had a lot of plays like the OT one against the steelers. short pass to get the ball into your fastest player as soon as possible and let him outrun the defense.

Okay MSB ballers... What were your SAT scores then?

So basically you're saying his receivers>>>SEC CBs? He had ONE great receiver-Harvin and Hernandez as a good TE. Plus UF didn't have a good rb stable during Tebow's era.

SAT was the same information, just given a different way.

Same here, but I know people who are damn smart IRL that didn't do much better than Tebow...
And they turned out OKAY.

That's a shame.
He wasn't the best statistical quarterback. In fact, he was probably the worst of the 2011 season. But there weren't many that played better when the game was on the line.

or it's because he's dumb as a rock and can't remember plays.
Sounds a lot like JRuss and teams will have no problem picking him up pretty soon just because he's lost 50lbs.

or because he's absolute garbage at the QB position
See above reply. Plus there are other backups still in the league that are just as bad.
