What is their body of work? Beating up on SEC teams is not noteworthy. Who have they beat that would make us think they would consistently beat ANYONE in the top 25?

Geaux Tigers, but realistically why would everyone be upset with a 8 if they didnt think that put us at very real danger of losing to a 9?

Oklahoma lost 4 of their last 6, has a loss to RPI #150 Arkansas, and didn't win their conference or conference tournament

2 seed

I would like for you to post all 6 major conferences from the last 30 years to prove this statement using different statistical measures.

So stating that Oklahoma is worthy of a lower seed proves LSU deserves a higher seed?

11-4 vs rpi top 50 teams. 4 of their 5 loses were top 50 rpi teams. They played 6 teams in the rpi top 25.

Showing that there are inconsistencies.

Joe Lunardi had LSU as a 6 at 3pm Eastern today, FWIW

If Gerry is going to make a claim that fricking outrageous I'm going to ask for some proof. The SEC is the weakest conference in the last 30 years and the Big12 is fricking awesome?

1 of those losses was to #150. They also played a whole bunch of teams ranked lower than 300

Wake Forest as a 4 seed is BS. They should have switched seeds with Kansas.

Why is this years SEC arguably the worst power conference in the past 30 years? No major conference has only gotten 2 teams into the tournament since 1978 (and this is the Pac-10 with only 10 teams...). Barring the auto bid from Miss State this is what the SEC was looking at. Add to that the fact that the SEC is closer in conference RPI to 7th rated MWC than 5th rated PAC10 and that's what you get.

OU is a 2 seed because they went 11-4 against the RPI top 50.. the same top 50 that LSU displayed a dismal 1-3 record against.

Let's follow that up with a rhetorical question. Will the SEC get any teams into the round of 32? My response. No. Pretty fricking terrible if you ask me.

Most of OUs losses have also come with probable POTY Blake Griffin injured or only playing minor minutes.

Joe Lunardi doesn't make the brackets. He is one man who predicts where he thinks teams will end up. I'm sure you can find a lot of other situations where he missed a teams seed by 2.

Kansas went 9-3 against the top50, beat OU head to head, and won the conference.

Kansas won the Big XII by default considering they only had to play the South teams once while the South teams got to beat each other up. This is why Kansas has won the Big XII 5 years in a row and will continue to do so until something is changed.

OU has an RPI of 5. If you look at the rankings, the selection committee really used the RPI this year.
