We usually park in downtown St. Pete near Central Avenue for free. The walk is about a mile, but there are plenty of really good bars around Central Avenue on the way. It’s a fun walk with plenty to see.

Bar at Vinoy Hotel is neat. Twins will be staying there too. Oak and Stone and The Mill are good restaurants. You can also bring food and bottled water into the game. We sometimes pick up Cuban sandwiches at Bodega. It’s right next to the stadium.

Today is Tommy Pham bobble head day. Go Rays! Stadium isn’t as bad as it’s reputation. Hey, it’s air conditioned, and stadium workers are really helpful.

Went to a Saturday night game against the Yankees so probably more crowded than most. There's a school just past the overpass south of the stadium that is $5 to park. Probably as far as the Quad to Tiger stadium if that. The ticket people were still there watching the cars after the game. Easy getting out also.

It was my first MLB game and the sob ticket guy sat me directly behind the foul pole in right field. At least I got to see DJ hit a home run.

Everyone was bitching because no replays if Yankees made a good play no matter how close/ good the play was. Worst professional experience ever. Freaking Zephyrs Staduim is 10x better than Tropicana.

I sort of feel bad for the Rays players and the few of their fans that are actually diehards.

Despite having one of the best farm systems and consistently punching way above their weight from a wins-to-payroll standpoint in a tough division, they have the worst stadium east of the Oakland Coliseum and terrible fan support.

Hell, the Marlins get more coverage for being completely inept and having horrendous ownership than the Rays do for having consistent success.

Why not go? Two of the best teams in the AL are playing. I couldn’t careless about the stadium. Hell, I’d go watch an MLB game at a high school park.

I haven't been in years. I just parked in the stadium parking lot most times because it wasn't full. Or go to the hood on the other side and cross over the overhead walkway to the stadium if it's packed.

As for downtown...can't remember. Went to a few places but none really stick out as being amazing times tbh.

It was however; rated the worst food in all major league parks...massive violations. Don't eat shite there.

I interned in Tampa so It’s been 14 years since I’ve been to the Trop, but two things I remember:
- parking won’t be an issue
- there aren’t any bars within walking distance from the stadium

With a college ID we got a little cup you could go to the Budweiser area in center field and get free beer. Only pro sports game I’ve ever been to where they gave you a program.

If they built a stadium in Tampa proper that team would thrive.
