Did lightning delays exist prior to like 2006? The 30 minute rule definitely seems like a relatively new thing?

When's the last time a player or fan was struck by lighting in a sports stadium in the US? Thanks in advance

Is this only available on nfl network? Nfln isn’t on Hulu or YouTube tv apparently. Is the nfl that stupid to not have networks bid for Thursday? Or did all the networks not want the Thursday games since they are horrible usually?

Week 2-3 are NFL Network only. Every other week is also on Prime and Fox.

Why? Who the hell knows. NFL will NFL.

There was a PGA event like a month or two ago where people got struck by lightning I think.

They did. We played Illinois St in 1999 and had a hour lightning delay. It was awful. The worst was trying to get everyone and everything dry to restart.

Ain't no trees in our sports stadiums.

Unless the Astros put one in.

It doesn’t happen often because they take precautions. I had a classmate whose dad was struck and killed by lightning at a youth baseball game.

Yes my old high schools field is named after a pitcher who died on the mound like 20 years ago

Because the NFL is testing the streaming capabilities and how much it draws in. Twitter and Yahoo both steam NFL games, but it’s on Yahoo tonight

And

Yahoo ponied up a pretty nickel to get the game

Hopefully Dorian v2.0 subsides soon.

For those who mentioned youtubeTV, I checked earlier today and the game is unavailable as they don't carry the network.

I'm out of the loop this season...are they still wearing strange alternate jerseys for Thursday night games?
