I disagree. I'd rate him behind the following:

Brees
Rodgers
Manning
Manning
Rivers
Vick
Luck
Wilson
Kaepernick
Romo
Ryan
Bradford
FLacco
Newton
Cutler
Schaub
Stafford
Roethlisberger

Then there's arguments for Palmer, Alex Smith, and RGIII.

That would make Freeman mediocre by definition. Pretty good would imply better than average. Thinking about all the shite Tony Romo gets, him on TB would be very interesting.

Defender doesnt get penalty against the Jets Tampa Wins, kicker doesnt miss a kick today Tampa wins. Nice thread though.

Exactly. Like I said: an even marginally better QB like Alex Smith or Sam Bradford wins both of these games.

You're saying half the league would get an upgrade at QB with Freeman?

I think not. He has potential to be a top 15-17 QB, but that's potential. He's a bottom tier NFL starter right now. Real games aren't Fantasy leagues.

No, maybe a competent kicker and better coaching to not get stupid penalties win those games. I can play this game too.

ETA: Im not arguing for Freeman being a good quarterback by any means, but the point is Tampa should be 2-0 and it isnt Freemans fault they arent. In the end he put them in position to win both games.

Freeman not completing passes and not moving the chains put the kicker in that position. If they're this close with terrible QB play, how could they not win both of those games with a better QB? You're not making sense.

Of course if they had Aaron Rodgers they would be better, what a shocker! Doesnt change the fact they should be 2-0 with Freeman and it isnt his fault they choked those games away.

I think he is better then cutler and Bradford.

Maybe pretty good is a bit strong, but he is not bad by any means. I think a bad online and a coach that hates you help.

Lets not forget he lead a Tampa Bay offense that was ranked ninth in the league. Tenth in passing.

He is quite capable, it may be time for him to leave though.

You can't just look at the stat sheet and say someone sucked. Jackson did drop 2 passes on 3rd down and then had that 70 yard td called back because the rt wasn't lined up right. There were a few balls Williams and Ogletree should have come up with too. Freeman just needs to work with the right coach.

I didnt just look at the stat sheet. I have watched both their games this year and Freeman is not good.

False.
That team falls on coaching. Huge penalties played a major factor in them now being able to gain a bigger lead.
