This used to be the norm. Now everyone expects these guys to be a day 1 starter.

You also didn't pay placeholders 100 million guaranteed, 180 possible over 4 years.

Were the Vikings really concerned someone was going to jump them? I hope they didn’t give up anything good.

Maybe the plan is to let Penix develop behind a solid vet like ol’ Kurt Cousin
Falcons would’ve been better picking Jordan Travis later in the rounds if they wanted a Qb. Jordan was better in big games IMO than Penix

No need to trade up here. Jets didn’t want JJ anyway wtf

There were obviously a couple more teams making offers.

They were probably worried about other teams trading up to get JJ like the broncos.

We're all in agreement that best case scenario McCarthy is Cousins 2.0 right? When has he been a difference maker at QB?

Exactly why JJ makes sense and Penix doesn't

No QB makes sense. You don’t tie up your cap in a QB and then spend your draft capital on a QB.

get Penix Jr. is very talented, but why pick him when you signed Kirk Cousins?
falcons heard some dude on the radio saying draft a qb when you want one not when you need one. I guess they figure cousins is guaranteed 2 years and then this guy

Soon? With Daniel Jones or Drew Lock as his quarterback?

I’d much rather have Penix who can actually sling it than freaking boring arse JJ McCarthy

Falcons don’t need a qb.
Just spent $130 mil on a qb

Jamar Chase was a mother fricking dog after the catch.

Yet Marshall had better stats before he got hurt.

You didn't answer the question unless your answer is Chase.

Nabors turns into a running back once he catches it.

You do realize it's very hard to move back. Someone has to agree to trade

Everyone wants to move back but few do

An older QB coming off a major injury. And a prospect with a lengthy major injury history. What could go wrong
